Community Service

The AGA Mid-Missouri Chapter is excited to share the community service activities we have lined up for the coming program year. These events offer meaningful ways for members to give back while strengthening our Chapter’s presence in the community.

50/50 Raffle at PDT During this year’s Professional Development Training, the Chapter will host a 50/50 Raffle to support our community service initiatives. Members attending the PDT will have the opportunity to participate and help raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson City.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing – December We will once again partner with the Salvation Army for our annual Bell Ringing event. This year’s volunteer shift will take place on a Saturday in December, offering members a chance to serve together during the holiday season. Stay tuned for more information as the date gets closer.

Trivia Team for the Fuller Center for Housing of Miller County The Chapter will coordinate a team for the Fuller Center for Housing of Miller County’s annual Trivia Night. This event, held in early February, supports housing and repair projects for families in need. Members interested in joining the team are encouraged to participate. We will provide signup information in January.

We invite all members to stay engaged and consider lending their time to these efforts. Continue to watch for more details in the coming months and on our Chapter website.

LEAD & PDT

Members of the Mid-Missouri Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) traveled to Arlington, VA, on July 19-20, 2026, to participate in LEAD 2026. Designed to empower chapter management, this event provided Chapter leadership teams with essential tools, resources, and growth strategies. By connecting directly with fellow CEC members, National Leaders, and AGA staff, attendees traded best practices to elevate member engagement and streamline chapter management.

Following LEAD 2026, CEC members headed to Washington, DC, from July 21-23, and met with additional Chapter members for PDT 2026, AGA's premier annual training for government financial management professionals. Attendees immersed themselves in dynamic keynote presentations, specialized breakout sessions, and valuable networking events. Beyond expanding their professional circles, participants earned up to 20 CPE or leadership development hours across a diverse range of high-impact topics, including artificial intelligence, executive leadership, financial reporting, and fraud prevention.
