Member Participation Award

Here is the latest standings for the member participation program ending June 2025:

Membership Participation Program

Members are responsible for monitoring any points they have earned and notify the Secretary of any discrepancies. All chapter members, including CEC members, are eligible for the program.

To encourage membership participation in Chapter activities, each member will be awarded points for participation in Chapter sponsored events and programs (where registration occurs through the Chapter). The Secretary will maintain the running list of points earned each year. The Board will determine the appropriate publication of the points in each newsletter. Points will be awarded as follows:

  • Attendance at Chapter sponsored meetings and/or training events that include CPE credits (vouchered events earned from prior year do not apply)

    o Regular Chapter meeting, Chapter sponsored webinar, and other Chapter CPE events (10 points for each CPE hour earned by the member at event).

  • Membership
    o Each new member sponsored and accepted-with National giving the existing member credit for the new member (10 points)

  • Chapter Programs

    o Member who is a speaker or panel participant at Chapter meeting or Chapter training event (50 points per presentation) (limited to two Chapter presentations)

  • Publications
    o An article at least 300 words published in Chapter newsletter or an AGA National Service publication (30 points)

  • Service

    • Participate in a Chapter sponsored community service project.  This is for projects requiring volunteering physical time. (20 points per event)

o Members donating items for food, supply, toys, etc. drives must ensure they sign the donation sheet at the event to earn service points. (10 points)

o Serve on any National board, committee, and sub-committee as found on AGA National’s Leadership Directory (20 points per appointment)

o Perform the annual financial review of the Chapter finances (40 points) 

  • CGFM

o Participate in a Chapter sponsored CGFM Study Session (10 points per hour)
o Submit proof of passing any part of the CGFM Exam to the Chapter Secretary (30 points)

Electronic Vouchers will be awarded to each member to redeem in the upcoming program year only. Points are awarded on a program year beginning July 1 and ending on June 30th, with the redemption period in the following program year. For example, points earned July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, must be redeemed between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. Vouchers expire if not used by June 30th of the following program year and hold no redeemable cash value. The member must use the voucher when registering for an event on the Chapter website.

Vouchers are based on TOTAL points and may not be split into multiple awards or transferred to another member or person. The structure of value is as follows:

  • Total points of 50 to 100 receive a free Chapter Membership (valued at $10). If already paid for the upcoming membership year, the membership may be applied toward the immediate next membership year, typically due by March of the next calendar year. No actual voucher will be produced for this award. The Chapter Treasurer will coordinate the membership payment with National.

  • Total points of 110 to 200 receive a voucher for a free single 2 CPE hour Chapter sponsored virtual training (via webinar) where registration occurs through the Chapter website. Redemption of the digital voucher must be applied to the event registration at the time of registration.

  • Total points of 210 to 350 receive a voucher for a free single Chapter Half-Day training event worth 4 CPE hours where registration occurs through the chapter website. Redemption of the digital voucher must be applied to the event registration at the time of registration.

  • Total points of 360 or more receive a voucher for a free single-day of the Chapter PDT (8 hours CPE and meals) where registration occurs through the chapter website. Redemption of the digital voucher must be applied to the event registration at the time of registration.
