Mid-Missouri AGA Ledger--Fall 2026
Community Service

The AGA Mid-Missouri Chapter is excited to share the community service activities we have lined up for the coming program year. These events offer meaningful ways for members to give back while strengthening our Chapter’s presence in the community.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing – December
We will once again partner with the Salvation Army for our annual Bell Ringing event. This year’s volunteer shift will take place on Saturday December 5th, offering members a chance to serve together during the holiday season. Stay tuned for more information as the date gets closer.
Holiday Canned Food Drive for Samaritan Center
Bring your canned food donations to the Half Day Training event on December 15th. During the holiday season, the Samaritan Center distributes meals for families in need. Let’s help replenish their pantry!
Trivia Team for the Fuller Center for Housing of Miller County
The Chapter will coordinate a team for the Fuller Center for Housing of Miller County’s annual Trivia Night. This event, scheduled to be held on February 6th, supports housing and repair projects for families in need. Members interested in joining the team are encouraged to participate. We will provide signup information in January.
Scholarships
The Skip Eno Memorial Scholarships are available for both Graduate and Undergraduate students. These scholarships are awarded each spring at our Annual Awards and Recognition meeting. If you are, or know of a student that could benefit from this award, please forward them the 2027 application. We also encourage our members to reach out to local high schools to present to Business students on government financial management roles. If you need assistance in creating a presentation, contact Vandee DeVore at [email protected] for more information. Plant the seed early! Help fill our shoes!
50/50 Raffle at PDT
During this year’s Professional Development Training, the Chapter will host a 50/50 Raffle to support our community service initiatives. Members attending the PDT will have the opportunity to participate and help raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson City.
We invite all members to stay engaged and consider lending their time to these efforts. Continue to watch for more details in the coming months and on our Chapter website.

CGFM News
Notice of Upcoming Changes to CGFM Maintenance Requirements
The AGA Professional Certification Board has approved updates to the requirements for maintaining the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) credential. These revised standards will apply to CGFM cycles beginning on or after January 1, 2027. If you are currently within your two‑year CGFM cycle, the changes outlined below will not affect your certification until your next cycle begins. Updated requirements include:
• The required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) total will be reduced from 80 to 70 credits per two‑year cycle.
• CGFMs may claim up to 10 CPEs per cycle for service on AGA’s national board or committees, or for serving as a Mid‑MO AGA chapter officer.
• Beginning January 1, 2028, AGA membership will be required to maintain the CGFM credential.
Earn CPE Credit with AGA’s Journal CPE Quizzes
After several years of discontinuation, AGA is once again offering CPE credits for reading articles in the Journal of Government Financial Management and completing a short online quiz. Upon successfully passing the quiz, participants will earn three (3) CPE credits. Quizzes for the Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 editions are currently available, and a new quiz will be released with each quarterly journal.
Quizzes may be purchased for $60, are available exclusively to AGA members, and must be completed within 90 days of purchase. If you wish to participate, please log in to AGA’s Online Portal at https://www.agacgfm.org/.
If you have any questions regarding the updated maintenance requirements for CGFM certification or any questions regarding any other CGFM questions,
