Community Service

The Chapter had an amazing turnout for our "Essential Hygiene Items Donation Drive" at our 50th Annual PDT on November 6th and 7th.

We are extremely grateful for everybody that donated/participated in our efforts to support the Jefferson City Rape & Abuse Crisis Service.

Thank you for making a difference, one month at a time!

CGFM News

For the 22nd year, March 2026 will be designated Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Month. For the past five years, the Governor of Missouri and the Mayor of Jefferson City have issued official proclamations designing March as CGFM Month in the State of Missouri and the City of Jefferson. Your Mid Missouri AGA Chapter has again requested proclamations designing March 2026 as CGFM Month.

AGA awards the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designation. The CGFM program highlights the specialized qualifications, experience, and professionalism required of government financial managers, recognizing their advanced skills and knowledge. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, pass three rigorous examinations, and meet the professional experience requirement in government financial management. CGFMs also commit to AGA’s Code of Ethics and must complete at least 80 hours of continuing professional education in government financial management or related technical subjects every two years.

In recognition of CGFM Month, AGA is offering a special incentive for prospective Certified Government Financial Managers. Candidates who pass one CGFM exam between January 1 and March 31, 2026, will receive a voucher for their next exam at no cost. Those who pass two exams during this period will earn two exam vouchers, providing an additional opportunity should they need to retake the third exam.

Exam vouchers will expire on June 30, 2026, and cannot be extended for any reason. Candidates are reminded to schedule their exam appointments early, as testing appointments may fill up.

For additional information, please visit national AGA website at CGFM Promotion - AGA or contact the AGA Mid Mo Chapter’s Certification Director by email at [email protected].
